Preparing for winter storage...
Run pump for five minutes with clean water. Drain all lines, valves
and manifolds. Open ports on pumps and tank sumps allowing to
drain. A charge of pressurized air in plumbing lines sometimes will
aid the removal of water. A gallon of antifreeze solution circulated
through the plumbing will prevent freezing and subsequent cracked
manifolds and split hoses. More antifreeze solution may be needed
for long runs in hose reels or boom wings.
A fresh application of grease to driveline couplings, cross kits,
agitator bearings and other drive bearings before putting the
machine away is good practice.
Do not leave chemical in your tank for long periods of time! Water
will evaporate leaving behind a high concentration of possibly
corrosive chemical.
